CAF, NEICC and Masjid-i Alaaka at Newark, NJ; on Sunday August 21st, 2022 held its summer school awards ceremony and brunch for 103 middle and high school summer school students, who study and were mentored for eight weeks at the masjid. The summer school were students, mentors, and volunteers.

Bethlehem PA. Which will be on the beautiful Respect Graduate Institute campus, this Labor day weekend. The retreat is the latest addition to CAF Building Bridges programs. Our commitment to providing experiences to build bridges across diversity.
We are looking forward to hosting a group of diverse women, age, ethnicity and faith. They will have the opportunity to engage, empower and enhance their minds, bodies and spirits. The interactive workshops and health services Will be lead by an amazing group of professional women. The cultural meals delicious authentic and served in a breathtaking ambiance. Look for a variety of vendors, and prepare to shop. Maybe buy a new dress. You will have the opportunity to be fancy at our elegant dinner and fashion show. If you are a night owl we will have a late fireside poetry reading and sisterhood connection just for you. Compassion Action Foundation Building Bridges in South Jersey / Philadelphia Pennsylvania
Our first stop Peace Island PA for a delicious Turkish breakfast and dialogue. An engaging conversation around the hardships of refugees. Retired professor Vonya is collecting the stories of Turkish refugee, women and children. Her passion for helping these women share their experiences, and bring hope to humanity. She proves through her efforts that people do care. She is not only collecting the stories but she is helping and assisting the women with healthy and safe transition into their new lives.
Masjidullah in PA was our next stop. Imam Idris, gave us a tour of the beautiful modern campus, that includes a market area, with shopping, conversing and the aroma of fresh baked goods available for purchase. The community has a private daycare and grammar school. We concluded with a conversation around collaboration. We all shared are available programs and goals. We are looking forward to collaborating on Building Bridges and other programs.
In South Jersey we shared dinner and dialogue at the restaurant, On the grill. We were very happy to have our board member Zaimah Abdullah and her family join us. The dinner dialog conversations was engaging with topics of concern. Current news events, the world opening after covid quarantining and our up-and-coming women’s retreat.

Building Bridges in Newark NJ with Masjid Aleekah. We enjoyed the morning with breakfast and in the wonderful sound of our future leaders, the youth. The first day of summer school presentation was empowering for the students and guest. We look forward to more opportunities to get to know each other. Together we have great hope.

We have now completed 30 days of personal discipline and connecting to humanity. Compassion Action Foundation has sponsored several community Iftar dinners, this Ramadan. We are pleased to have done so in person, as we are better prepared being covid safe. The shared peaceful and joyful energy was infectious. These Iftars took place in a variety of spaces, family homes, Masjid collaborations and nonprofit Interfaith collaborations.
We are renewed and ready to continue our Building Bridges program. Compassion Action Foundation was last in North Carolina Raleigh Durham area.
This was a return follow up visit. We are very pleased with the community collaborations around mentoring and other community efforts. We look forward to more Building Bridges in the tri-state area and invite you to join us.
