May 26th and 27th in Mount Prospect Illinois Compassion Action Foundation’s first collaborative women’s retreat, was a great success. Islamic Society of Midwest a 501c3 hosted the diverse group of women. The beautiful cultural center has an historical decor that gives you the feeling of being in the beautiful country Turkey.

The retreat attendees came right in with smiles and immediately felt a comfortability in this safe intimate space of sisterhood. The speakers shared information on life trauma, pain management and mindfulness. Activities range from aromatherapy, zumba and an international fashion show.The question was asked by many, “when is the next retreat?” One person said “we should do this twice a year!” Compassion Action Foundation is planning the next Women’s Retreat for October 2023.
