Mozambique – Donate meat packages…

According to the United Nations, over 820 million people are experiencing food insecurity right now. This number is expected to rapidly increase in lieu of COVID-19 pandemic, rising unemployment, financial and economic downfall, and political and civil unrest worldwide.

Embrace Relief’s various International Hunger Relief Campaigns are designed to combat the international hunger crisis and help as many people as possible around the globe – but this cannot be done without your help.

This year, Qurban is held from July 31st to August 3rd. During this time, sheep, goats, and cattle are humanely and hygienically sacrificed meaning it adheres to common dietary restrictions. During the celebration of Qurban, many people donate meat packages to those who do not have access or financial resources to purchase meat, which makes Qurban the one time per year these families can get it.

In honor of Qurban, you can send a meat package that has been humanely and hygienically sacrificed to a hungry family in Mozambique with oartner organization “Associacao Nova Esperanca”.

  • The prices of Qurban: $ 100

You can send a family a Qurban today and allow them to celebrate this important occasion along with millions of others across the world. You will be their shining light through their dark times and bring them happiness and hope today!

Why Mozambique?

On 14 March, tropical Cyclone Idai made landfall at the port of Beira, Mozambique, before moving across the region. Millions of people in Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe have been affected by what is the worst natural disaster to hit southern Africa in at least two decades.

Six weeks later, Cyclone Kenneth made landfall in northern Mozambique – the first time in recorded history two strong tropical cyclones have hit the country in the same season. Devastation caused by the cyclones left around 1.85 million people in Mozambique alone in urgent need of humanitarian assistance – in healthcare, nutrition, protection, education, water and sanitation. Building Bridges In African

Our delegation of seven men and women traveled to South and Eastern Africa for seven days of outreach. This opportunity to dialogue, share culture and visit religious / educational institutions was most inspiring. We received hope and as a result of the exchange gave hope. We are now in a position to better serve having shared ideas. We will continue to provide opportunities of this nature as it strengthens our humanity ! Reach out to us if you’re interested in our next Building Bridges Program.

We shared a very inspiring and hopeful dialogue. The young men were engaging, with many questions and comments. The goal was to bring to life the visual history they experienced by watching the documentary, The Lost Found Nation. This goal was accomplished. As the speaker recalled her lived experiences of historical times. Generational dialogue inspiration and hope for the Human family.

CAF community dinner & homeless feeding

CAF community dinner & homeless feeding

The day after Thanksgiving an American day of family togetherness. We the Compassion Action Foundation and Islamic Society of Essex County join together to feed our community. After Friday prayers and feeding the soul we shared a meal to feed the body. We then were ready to take to the streets. Food for those in our community who weren’t able to attend the dinner. Some homeless and taking shelter by Peen Train Station.

We are pleased to for the second year,  shared food boxes with the traditional program Integrity House. It was a time for thankfulness in the city of Newark and we are thankful for an afternoon with our family, the Human Family.

CAF welcomes you…
