The Compassion Action Foundation at the U S Capital for African American History month. We visited the newly opened National African American History and Culture Museum. Our journey began with the motherland of Africa exhibit and took us to the many exhibits of African Americans, heroes of today. It was a wonderful opportunity to see and appreciate the many stories that makeup the beautiful history and culture of a great people.

After a day of touring the museum we joined the Turkish community for dinner and conversation. African American community sisters shared history and personal stories of African Americans with Turkish sisters. It was an awesome bridging and bonding through sharing. The next morning conversation over breakfast were more shared experiences and plans for next steps.
